Winter Branches

 From the box below I decided to run with the tree as my main point of inspiration and a theme for my project.
At this time of year the harsh contrast of the trees against a flat grey sky isn't something that is easy to ignore.
So i decided to use the time and weather conditions as the focus point for my development and research.

Magic, Rites and Rituals

This is a box I made to get inspiration for my project on Magic, Rites and Rituals.
After alot of research and messing around with themes and choices I decided to base my box on Indonesian folklore and shadow puppets.
The box was mainly inspired by the shadow puppets and as I have a fascination with birds I added the Garuda.

The box is basically just a shoe box that i lined with white fabric concealing fairy lights.
The tree is made from 2 wire coat hangers and garden wire.
The leaves are made from tracing paper and hanged eith white thread.
The Garuda bird is tracing paper, pen and pigeon feathers.
The plants are made from garden wire and cotton balls.
